Politics and Poetry

Hi folks,

I am so happy that we are, at least for now, free of the REGIME.

It's hard to understand people who insist on using epithets like 'baby-killer' to justify their support for freaks that have dragged our country into military and financial ruin. We need to look beyond the single issue and see the bigger picture....the future of our country and our leadership in the world.

The philospher/poet/novelist, G.K. Chesterton, put it best in this poem, published in 1915.

Elegy in a Country Churchyard
THE men that worked for England
They have their graves at home:
And birds and bees of England
About the cross can roam.

But they that fought for England,
Following a falling star,
Alas, alas for England
They have their graves afar.

And they that rule in England,
In stately conclave met,
Alas, alas for England
They have no graves as yet.
G. K. Chesterton

I think we will see good changes happening in the USA and around the world. I pray that this result will make us stronger as a nation, and stronger as a force of leadership and peace in the world.

Love and Peace to all!
